The Midheaven and being seen

Module progress · 0 of 6 lessons · about 1 minutes to read

THE THESIS

Traditionally read as the chart's highest point, the Midheaven names themes of vocation and public visibility — a direction to explore, never a fixed verdict on your career.

The explanation

High at the top of the chart sits the Midheaven, often written MC, from the Latin medium coeli — the highest point the sky reached at your birth. In the astrological tradition it marks the public part of life: vocation, reputation, the direction you are seen moving in, the work others watch you build. It sits opposite the chart's lowest point, so the axis pairs public role with private roots. Astrologers read the sign and any planets near the MC as themes of how you step onto the world's stage. Like the Ascendant, it depends on an accurate birth time. Take it as an invitation to notice where you want to be visible — not a settled sentence on your career.

EXAMPLE CHART

Every lesson has to point at a chart. Until you add your own, the lessons run on the example this site uses throughout: 24 June 1996, 14:20, Barcelona. They work exactly the same way; the person is just not you.

Three questions. No score, no timer, no streak.

Two are about the idea, one is about your own chart. A wrong answer gets an explanation. You can skip the whole thing.
