FAQ
Questions people actually ask
What is a bodygraph?
A bodygraph is a diagram Human Design derives from your birth planets: two sets of positions (your birth moment and the moment 88° of solar arc earlier) mapped onto a wheel of 64 gates. The astronomy is real and exact; the meaning layered on top is an interpretive system, not science. We show you both, separately.
Why does birth time matter so much here?
More than for an astrology chart. The Moon moves about 13° a day, so several gates, and with them your profile and even your type, can change through the day. Without an exact time we tell you plainly what’s unreliable instead of quietly assuming noon.
Is my type or profile ever “wrong”?
The calculation is deterministic and matches standard references. You can check every gate against the raw longitudes in the astronomy view. If your type looks off, it’s almost always a birth-time or time-zone issue, not the math.
Do you tell me what I must or can’t do?
No. Human Design is full of “you must wait” and “false self” language. We don’t use it. Strategy and authority here are lenses for noticing your own patterns.
True node or Mean node?
They’re two ways to place the lunar nodes: True follows the Moon’s real wobble, Mean is the smoothed average. Most calculators quietly pick one. We default to True and let you switch, so you can compare against whatever your consultant used.
