Ego / Heart

Authority is the system's word for where your clearest signal on a decision is said to come from. Here's how it frames Ego / Heart — as a lens for noticing your own process.

In the Human Design tradition, ego authority — sometimes called heart or will — locates clear decisions in honest desire. The idea is that your surest guide is what you actually want and are willing to stand behind, rather than what seems reasonable or expected. Speaking a wish aloud is said to reveal whether the heart is truly in it or merely going along. There is no scolding here about willpower; the frame simply invites you to notice where real motivation lives and to let promises follow it. As an experiment, you might voice what you want plainly and watch which commitments still feel alive a day later. The choice stays yours to keep or revise.
