Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 11, 2026
1. Introduction
Eternity Cat, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the sneba.app website (“Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what data the Site collects, what happens to the birth data you type into our calculators, and the rights you have. We’ve tried to keep this specific — the same way we treat everything else on Sneba.
2. The Short Version
We designed Sneba to need as little of your data as possible. The calculators work without an account, and on that path the birth data you enter is used to compute your chart and is not stored. If you create an account and save a chart, that birth data is stored so we can recompute it for you; you can export it or delete it, along with the account, at any time. We show no ads, use no advertising trackers, and never sell data. These are permanent product rules, not current settings.
3. Birth Data You Enter
To calculate a chart, the date, time and place of birth you enter are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server, used in memory to compute the astronomical positions, and returned to your browser. Specifically:
- When you calculate without saving, birth data is not written to a database and not included in server logs.
- Responses are marked non-cacheable, so results are not kept on intermediate servers.
- Personal results do not live at public URLs — search engines cannot index a chart you calculated.
- No account, email or name is required to use the calculators.
4. What We Do Not Do
We do not show advertising, use advertising identifiers or ad networks, run cross-site tracking, build behavioral profiles, or sell or rent any data to anyone. We do not send your birth data or calculation results to any analytics or third-party service.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
The Site stores your light/dark theme preference in your browser’s local storage (key sneba-theme); it never leaves your device. We set no advertising cookies. If website analytics is enabled (section 6), Google Analytics sets its own cookies, such as _ga.
6. Website Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count page views in aggregate — which pages are visited, from what kind of device — so we can tell which calculators and articles are useful. Our analytics layer is built to structurally exclude birth data and other personal details from events: what you type into a calculator is never sent to analytics. Google processes this aggregate data under its own privacy policy; to opt out across all sites, you can install Google’s Analytics Opt-out browser add-on.
7. Where Processing Happens
The Site runs on Google Cloud infrastructure (Firebase App Hosting and Firestore), currently in the United States. Google acts as our hosting and storage provider under its terms and processes data only on our behalf. Birth data you only calculate with is discarded after each calculation (section 3); birth data you save to an account is stored in Firestore as described in section 8.
8. Accounts
Accounts are optional. Every calculator works without one, exactly as described in section 3. An account exists so you can save charts and come back to them: when you save, we store the birth data of your own chart and of any people you save, plus your email address, your interface language, your chart preferences, and a versioned record of the consents you have given. We store the input you entered and recompute the chart from it each time; computed results are not stored. This data lives on Google Cloud (Firestore), currently in the United States.
Emails about the product (a notice when the app launches, a transit digest, product news) are separate opt-ins, each switched off by default; we send nothing of the kind unless you turn it on. Paid features are not sold yet; if we introduce them, we will update this policy first.
- Saved people are identified by a short label you choose (for example, “Partner” or “Mum”); names are optional. If you save someone else’s birth details, you are responsible for having their permission.
- You can export all your account data yourself, as a single file, at any time.
- You can delete your account yourself, at any time, with no support ticket and never behind a paywall. Deletion has a short cancellation window (signing in again cancels it); after that, your data is permanently removed.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. If you have an account, the main tools are built in: you can export all your data as one file and delete your account yourself (section 8). If you only use the calculators without an account, we store nothing, so there is usually nothing for us to look up. For anything else, contact us at the address in section 12 and we will respond within thirty days. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will address it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and material changes will be highlighted. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
