Square and trine

THE THESIS

A square is friction that tradition reads as fuel for growth, a theme asking for attention; a trine flows easily, a gift you still choose to use.

The explanation

A square places two planets ninety degrees apart, and tradition reads that angle as friction — two drives grinding against each other. That grind is uncomfortable, but astrologers treat it as the engine of growth, not a curse. A square names a theme that keeps asking for your attention until you build some skill around it. A trine, a hundred and twenty degrees, is the opposite feel: the planets cooperate, and things flow with little effort. Easy is not the same as automatic, though. A trine offers a gift you still have to pick up. Both angles describe how energy moves, and the moving stays in your hands.

Every lesson has to point at a chart. Until you add your own, the lessons run on the example this site uses throughout: 24 June 1996, 14:20, Barcelona. They work exactly the same way; the person is just not you.

CHECK YOURSELF · OPTIONAL

Three questions. No score, no timer, no streak.

Two are about the idea, one is about your own chart. A wrong answer gets an explanation. You can skip the whole thing.

Progress saves itself. Come back in six months and this lesson is exactly where you left it.

For self-reflection and entertainment — not a prediction of fate and not professional advice.
