Conjunction and opposition

THE THESIS
A conjunction fuses two planets into one voice; an opposition stretches them across an axis. Tradition reads the opposition as tension seeking balance, never a fight with a loser.
The explanation
When two planets sit at the same spot, roughly zero degrees apart, astrologers call it a conjunction. The two energies fuse and act as one voice — hard to separate, strong when they pull together. At the opposite extreme, a hundred and eighty degrees, sits the opposition: the planets face each other across the chart. Tradition reads this as a search for balance between two real needs, like independence and closeness. An opposition is tension, not a fight with a loser; both ends want their say. Both angles simply name a theme to work with. How you hold that balance stays your own.
