THE THESIS

Fire, earth, air and water sort the twelve signs into four temperaments. Astrologers read them as a first lens on how your energy tends to move.

The explanation

Long before the details, astrology sorts the twelve signs into four families called elements. Fire signs — Aries, Leo, Sagittarius — are traditionally read as intuitive and quick to act. Earth signs stay grounded and practical, air signs live in ideas and connection, water signs move by feeling and instinct. Each element gathers three signs that share a temperament. This is your first lens: it sketches how a planet's energy tends to move, in broad strokes, before finer tools refine the picture. None of the four is better than another. Treat the elements as starting vocabulary, a way to notice patterns you can then test against how you actually experience yourself.

Every lesson has to point at a chart. Until you add your own, the lessons run on the example this site uses throughout: 24 June 1996, 14:20, Barcelona. They work exactly the same way; the person is just not you.

Three questions. No score, no timer, no streak.

Two are about the idea, one is about your own chart. A wrong answer gets an explanation. You can skip the whole thing.
