Gate 45 · Gathering

There are 64 gates, one for each hexagram of the I Ching, mapped onto the zodiac. Here's the keynote for Gate 45 · Gathering and where it sits in the bodygraph.

In the Human Design tradition, gate 45 sits in the Throat centre and, together with gate 21, forms the channel of resource stewardship: the place where a community settles what belongs to all. The theme of this gate is gathering: holding a shared field, distributing access to knowledge, things and opportunities, sounding on behalf of the group. In the personality this is a conscious role of the host at whose table people assemble; in the design it is a natural tone of authority that others hear before its owner registers it. The system adds that a gatherer need not do everything personally: their contribution is that the shared thing has a name and a place. What do you gather people around, and do they feel like co-owners of it?
