In the Human Design tradition, gate 41 stands in the Root centre and symbolically opens the wheel of the year: a new cycle of experience begins here. Together with gate 30 it forms the channel where fantasy meets the desire to live it out. The theme of this gate is anticipation: an appetite for what has not happened yet, dreams, plans, scenarios run in advance. In the personality this is a conscious love of what-if games; in the design it is a background pressure of novelty pushing from inside. The system adds a nuance: a scenario does not owe you its coming true, and part of what you imagine exists to warm you, which is a legitimate way to live it.
