In the Human Design tradition, gate 1 lives in the G centre and is considered the most concentrated form of the creative impulse: the pull to bring something into the world the way only you can. In the channel with gate 8 that impulse gains a voice and becomes a contribution others can see. With a personality activation the pull is usually conscious, an inner voice saying plainly that making things matters. In the design it shows up more as a signature that others recognise before you do. The system stresses that this expression needs its own tempo; it handles creating on a schedule poorly.
