Mutable signs

In the astrological tradition, the mutable signs — Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces — end each season, and the tradition reads them as the adapters. Where they're strong, you tend to flex with circumstances, hold several possibilities at once, and let go so the next thing can arrive. Each adapts in its own way: air shifts ideas, earth refines, fire chases the next horizon, water dissolves the edges. The gift is versatility; the cost can be scatter, or bending so far you lose your own thread. Freedom and restlessness run on the same current: the flexibility that keeps you open can, past a point, keep you from ever landing anywhere at all.
