The 7th house

Traditionally, the seventh house sits opposite the first: if the first is you, this is the other — the partner, the close ally, sometimes the open rival. Astrologers read it for how you do one-to-one relationships, the qualities you look for in someone else, and the parts of yourself you tend to meet through them. Committed partnership lives here, along with contracts and the give-and-take of any serious pairing. The house doesn't name who is coming or when; it describes how you relate when it's just the two of you.
